What does... a Scrum Master actually do?

Although certification is not mandatory, earning a Scrum Master certification, such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM), can be beneficial. What is definitely needed is in-depth organizational talent and a thoroughly agile mindset! It is extremely important that the values and goals of agile practices are understood and sometimes even lived out. Flexibility, adaptability and continuous improvement are key elements that can also enrich everyday private life.

Conclusion: The country needs more Scrum Masters!

As agile working methods are becoming increasingly widespread — even beyond the topos of software development — the need for suitable Scrum Masters is also increasing. It is important to note that the Scrum Master is not comparable to a project manager, but rather a supporting role that makes effective work possible in the first place. The focus for Scrum Master is always on removing obstacles and creating a conducive environment for the entire Scrum team. As Scrum continues to spread as an agile way of working, so does the need for people who feel called to make a difference in an emphatically agile working world.
